Outside, limestone cladding wraps the whole elevation and glows under warm light at dusk, read across the water from the far bank. On the terrace, limestone paving surrounds a round stone fire pit laid out for evenings by the fire. The same flooring runs indoors without a break, threading a hallway past a carved stone door surround and out again to the lit terrace beyond. In the living room a carved limestone mantel, centered on a floral cartouche, sits between built-in shelves beneath old timber beams.
