This restoration puts reclaimed limestone at every threshold. The entrance arrives first, an arch cut from antique limestone and flanked by salvaged iron gates, with coursed limestone wall cladding running up to a carved stone balcony overhead. In the courtyard a limestone pool fountain holds a carved fretwork column in a scalloped basin, its water catching the light beside the door. The cladding continues across the facade in wide sun warmed blocks beneath a wrought iron lantern. Step inside and the floor turns to mosaic, a field of green, white and black stone medallions set into the entry. Beyond the house the ground opens to a terrace, where a carved limestone wall fountain stands over a basin coped in the same stone and the ocean fills the horizon.
